Bespoke Wedding Stationery Case Study: Helen and Chris

Helen and Chris’s Design brief was for simple, but elegant white and silver stationery, with a Celtic theme. The inclusion of bilingual text was also a key feature that they wanted incorporated in their stationery. Helen had some innovative ideas of how she would like her stationery created and I was able to translate those ideas into a package that was unique to them as a couple.

The design they chose featured a silver embossed Celtic heart image backed on a square of textured white card which was mounted in relief above a strip of silver raffia ribbon on a textured white card. The same design was translated through to all items of stationery, with some subtle changes along the way.

The Save the Date cards were square with bilingual text on the card front and on the insert which also featured smaller embossed hearts in the same design to make them extra special. These cards set the tone for the whole stationery package and gave their guests a sneak preview of what was to come.

An elegant tall card was chosen for the Day Invitations, again with bilingual text and embossing on the card inserts. The Evening Invitations featured the same design, but Helen liked the idea of having them on a single sided card with a small flat magnet attached to the back, allowing them to be imaginatively displayed.

The table plan was entirely handmade and featured individual table listings decorated with the main design, each table named after a mountain walked by Helen and Chris! A stylish method of conveying the seating arrangements to their guests and a lovely memento of the day to treasure thereafter.

The Table name cards featured Helen and Chris’s chosen table names along with the main design and were double sided so that they could be seen from all angles around the table.

Helen had a lovely idea of combining her guest place cards with individual menu listings, an idea which was translated into the very stylish postcards that then formed part of the table setting. For an extra personal touch they chose to have a lovely verse printed on the reverse of these cards thanking their guests for sharing their special day with them.

Finally Helen and Chris decided to have matching thank you cards to send out to their guests featuring a poem of their choice printed inside.
